The Public Service Commission (PSC) has recommended 541 candidates who passed the 38th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) final examination for the first class (9th grade) non-cadre posts.
Ishrat Sharmin, public relations officer at PSC, said the recommendation was put forward during the 11th special meeting of the commission held on Tuesday.
The recommendation has been made as per the Non-cadre Posts Recruitment (Special) Rules-2010 and amended Non-cadre Posts Recruitment Rules 2014.
PSC said a total of 6,173 BCS qualifying candidates did not get cadre services amid shortage of posts. Some 5,032 candidates applied for non-cadre first-class posts.
Earlier on June 30, PSC published the results of 38th BCS. Some 2,204 candidates have been recommended for different cadre posts.
