At least 10 people were killed as a trawler capsized in the Gumai River of Kamla Kanda in Netrakona on Wednesday morning.
The trawler capsized after being hit by a sand-laden boat around 11 am.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Kamla Kanda Police Station OC (officer in charge) Mazharul Karim confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Fire service diving unit started rescue operation and recovered the bodies, the OC said.
