The government has loosened the age limits for job seekers who could not apply in time due to the countrywide coronavirus shutdown since March 25 this year.
The maximum age limit for government job application is 30. Many job seekers could not apply as the recruitment process was suspended from March.
Job seekers who turned 30 on Mar 25 will be allowed to apply for government jobs, said Ministry of Public Administration.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Tuesday told Banglanews: “As per the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, government job seekers will be provided with this special opportunity.”
Earlier, the ministry sent a proposal to the prime minister with a request to consider the age limits of job seekers. The premier approved the request and relaxed the limit by five months.
However, only candidates who turned 30 on Mar 25 will be eligible for application.
